$ensei MJ is a recording artists and producer out of the Northside of Houston, Texas. An incredible talent, Mark has released 3 full length LPs, including 1 EP all before his 21st birthday. He is also featured on dozens of other remarkable songs, including “Synthetic Fibers” by Tobacco Ryan pictured in slide three. Personally, I’m in love with Sensei’s unrelenting spirit, which is felt through his artistry. Namely in his “Lonely Nights” LP, Sensei opens up about revisiting his feelings of self-worth, vulnerability, and battles with depression. $ensei MJ told us that his musical storytelling is heavily inspired his love for his family. Honoring his older brother, Clifford, $ensei MJ’s music speaks to music listeners who also have family members that are lost within the US Justice System.  His ability to mix his soulful voice with transcendental & spacey production, while still remaining undoubtedly true to his Houston roots makes him one of the most unique musicians I’ve heard to date.
